日本の保健システムは外国の模範たりうるか

Is the Japanese healthcare system a good model for other countries?

Depending on what we are, the answers may well vary, and they all make sense, but in my view, the Japanese healthcare system has pros and cons, so we must see both sides of it. Now let me explain the details.

First, some part of the system does not align with the worldwide pattern. For example, experts point out that Japan is often slow to approve new drugs, so effective treatments are sometimes not available in the country. On the other hand, some drugs prohibited in other countries are still accessible in Japan. These should be improved to meet worldwide standards.

Next, the current “healthcare insurance system” would be unsustainable in the near future, because of the aging population. Studies have shown the similar perspective. So, the government must encourage personal healthcare awareness, and preventive medicine, to show other countries how to effectively manage health insurance.

Therefore, I conclude that some of Japan’s system cannot serve as a model for other countries as such, and must be carefully adapted to each partner country’s unique situation. Thank you for your attention. [180 Words Type-L]
