Japan’s role in UN peace-keeping activities
This is a controversial topic: depending on what we are, the answers may well vary, and they all make sense, but in my view, Japan has contributed its various efforts to UN peace-keeping activities. Now let me explain some of them.
First, Japan donates billions of dollars to peace-keeping activities every year, which is one of Japan’s most significant international contributions. Besides, Japan has provided peacekeeping units with housing boxes and vehicles, to help rebuild the lives of people. For example, during the recent Ukraine crisis, Japan sent their Self Defense Force to help Ukrainian refugees and complete many tasks.
Next, Japanese civilians can also participate in peace-keeping efforts as non-military staff for various tasks, such as observing elections and providing medical assistance. These actions improve the quality of life in targeted nations, foster international relationships, and encourage mutual trust and friendship in turn.
The international community have evaluated Japan’s international contributions I have just mentioned. Even though the Japan’s economy is in decline, I believe Japan can still make honorable contributions to the international community. Thank you for your attention. [181 Words Type-R]
