インターネットは過激な行動を誘発するか

Does the Internet promote extreme behavior?

Depending on what we are, the answers may well vary, and they all make sense, but in my view, it is likely that the Internet provokes some extreme behavior. Now let me explain the details.

First, for example, violent cóntent available online can trigger violence, particularly in young people. Because many online images, videos, and advertisements are designed to provoke their violent impulses, and everyone can access them very easily. In fact, studies have shown that children who spend long time watching violent videos are more prone to aggressive behavior during their teenage years.

Next, terrorism now uses the Internet to gain worldwide attention. In the past, the media could silence terrorists’ messages. But as the communication technology advances, even small terrorist attacks can be streamed online with their statements, reaching billions of people, almost instantly. This encourages other terrorists to organize similar attacks.

In conclusion, while the Internet is an essential ínfrastructure for our society today, we must be conscious of its unexpected impacts on society and make efforts to ensure its responsible use. Thank you for your attention. [180 Words Type-N]
